بعدما كشفت شيفروليه كمارو و سلفرادو وكولورادو بنسخة Red Line الإختبارية. هاهي الان تكشف عن ماليبو Red Line الإختبارية وذلك لتدشينها في معرض سيما.
ومثل شقيقاتها الأخرى, حصلت ماليبو Red Line الإختبارية على سقف أسود, جنوط قياس 19 إنش داكنة, لمسات باللون الأحمر في الصدام الأمامي و الجنوط, أضواء أمامية و خلفية معتمة. أما عن الداخلية, فلم تكشف الشركة عن أي صور لها ولكنها قالت بأنها ستأتي عتبات جديدة, ومفارش عالية الجودة.
التعديلات لم تصل الى المحركات, وبقت مظهرية فقط مثل السيارات الأخرى. لذلك لم تحصل ماليبو Red Line الإختبارية الا على المحركات الأساسية والتي تشمل محرك 4 سلندر سعة 1.5 لتر, و محرك 4 سلندر سعة 2.0 تيربو بقوة 250 حصان و 350 نيوتن-متر.
