كشفت نيسان عن نسخ قابلة للقيادة من سيارتها الاختبارية BladeGlider التي كشفت عنها في معرض طوكيو قبل عامين من الآن لتؤكد التزامها بإنتاج و تطوير السيارات عديمة الانبعاثات.
حافظت السيارة على تصميمها المميز بمقدمتها النحيفة و خلفيتها الأعرض، و أبوابها العكسية التي تفتح إلى الأعلى، أما داخليتها فتذكرنا بمكلارين F1 الأسطورية بمقاعدها الثلاثة، و بوضعية القيادة في المنتصف.
وقد زودت نيسان السيارة بمحركين كهربائيين يرتبطان بمحور العجلات الخلفي، و يعملان مع تقنية نقل العزم لتوفير تجربة قيادة فريدة، و خاصة مع تشغيل وضعية الدرفت. و يولد محركا السيارة قوة تصل إلى 268 حصان، و عزم يبلغ 521 رطل-قدم، يُمكّنانها من التسارع من 0 إلى 100 كم/س خلال أقل من 5 ثواني، و لتصل إلى سرعة قصوى تبلغ 190 كم/س. بينما توفر بطاريتها البالغة قدرتها 220 كيلو واط الطاقة اللازمة لتشغيلها.
ستعرض نيسان نسختيها من السيارة الاختبارية BladeGlider في مدينة ريو دي جنيرو البرازيلية ضمن فعاليات الأولمبياد، ستكون الأولى مخصصة للعرض فقط، أما الثانية فستكون متجولة لِتُقِلّ وسائل الإعلام و الشخصيات الهامة.
